Mateo Rossi is the technological engine of Polaris’s analytical output. With a dual PhD in Computational Mathematics and Econometrics from ETH Zurich, Mateo bridges the gap between theoretical models and practical application. He previously worked in the quantitative research division of Deutsche Bank, developing algorithmic trading models that factored in political news sentiment. At Polaris, he leads a team of data scientists and engineers in building proprietary predictive analytics platforms. These systems ingest vast datasets—from satellite imagery and shipping traffic to social media sentiment—to identify leading indicators of economic and political change. Mateo’s work ensures that Polaris’s insights are not just qualitative but are empirically driven and scalable.
